Ques.1: What is the typical downtime for this procedure? Is there any side effects on eye-vision?
Ans. Blepharoplasty surgery is performed on an outpatient basis and you can go home at the same day. The duration of the procedure is 1-2 hours. You can return back to the normal activities from the very next day, there will be mild swelling and bruising around the eye which is nothing to worry about as it will gradually subside. The overall social downtime (for participating in any social gathering or event) is not more than two weeks. Since theprocedure is performed on the coverings (eye-lids) and not on the eye itself, so there is absolutelly no bad effect on your eyes or vision.
